What Is The Difference Between A Water Cooled Chiller And An Air Cooled Chiller?
According to different cooling methods, industrial chillers are divided into Water Cooled Chiller Machine and Air Cooled Chiller. The difference between them is mainly due to the difference in condensers.
Water Cooled Chiller Machine
The condenser of the water cooled chiller mainly removes heat by circulating cooling water. Therefore, the condenser of the water cooled chiller is usually shell-and-tube type, commonly known as blisters. Unlike the water cooled type, the air cooled chiller uses a finned condenser. The fins are actually aluminum sheets. The parts that require heat exchange are externally mounted with aluminum sheets to achieve efficient heat dissipation. Hot air is pumped out.
Air Cooled Chiller
Therefore, depending on the way the two chillers dissipate heat, the places where they are installed are also learned. Water cooled chillers can be installed outdoors or indoors; on the contrary, air cooled chillers can only be installed outdoors. This is because when the temperature of the workshop is high, the air cooled chiller will be affected by itself (the high temperature of the condenser will directly cause the high-pressure alarm of the industrial chiller, and the cooling capacity will decrease), which will have a direct impact on the temperature of the workshop. The advantages of the water cooled chiller are obvious, and the heat it generates is taken away by the outdoor cooling tower, so it does not affect the temperature inside the room.
